The student will be able to acquire a solid competence in the field of translation from- and into Italian TEACHING METHODS Frontal lessons, written and oral exercises, exercises with audiovisual materials, in particular on the themes highlighted in the previous point. Reading and understanding of complex texts: newspaper articles, literary fragments SYLLABUS/CONTENT The main objective of the course is the acquisition of C1 / C2 level and of translation skills from / into Italian. The course is balanced between the study of new grammatical topics and the development of solid lexical and communicative competence. Students are invited to regularly write various texts whose themes correspond to the program of the course. During the lessons the students will explore various grammatical topics, especially the Polish syntax (all types of coordinated and subordinate sentences), the prefixation of verbs and the analysis of the Polish language abroad (in Italy and in the English-speaking countries). Particular attention is also paid to the development of communicative and lexical competence. Students will be invited to read and listen to various texts related to the following topics: bilingualism and plurilinguism, ecology, crime, health and medicine, Polish dialects. They will make it possible to evaluate the progress of the student in itinere and to support him/her where his/her knowledge is weaker. In the exam it will be possible to ascertain the completeness of his/her preparation during an interview, in which the student will demonstrate to know how to express easily and with wealth of vocabulary both on the themes studied during the year, with their specific terminology, and to understand a complex text (eg newspaper article) not previously read, also elucidating its grammatical and syntactic forms.
