AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The students will be introduced to various topics not only in linguistic analysis but also in linguistic theory. From linguistic structure to its application by language users, they will be able to appreciate the different ways to analyze the texts and their juxtaposition (intertextuality). De Saussure, Form and Substance; Synchronic and Diachronic Approaches. Paradigmatic and Syntagmatic Relations. Gestalt. Prague Linguistic Circle and function of elements within language. Textuality.
