The course of Clinical Pathology 2 examines the study of some of the main disease markers that can be measured in a clinical laboratory
Provide the students with the fundamental elements about some of the main classes of diseases markers measurable in a clinical laboratory
Provide the students with the fundamental elements about some of the main classes of diseases markers (e.g. inflammation markers, cell damage markers, tumour markers) measurable in a clinical laboratory
The students will have to be able to: remember the reference ranges of the tests, understand the meaning of values under or over the reference range, know the cases where each test is indicated.
Lectures, with any possible dialectic interactions with the students
Inflammation markers. Cell damage markers. Renal function markers. Tumour markers. Lipidic and glucidic metabolism markers

Oral examination
Each students will be examined about one or two chapter of the program, with questions apt to evaluate his/her knowledge and his/her ability to connect different subject of the program. The knowledge and the definitions of the basic elements must be known in order to consider the examination approved.
The students will be examined about their critical interpretation of the values of the analytes object of the examination
