The class provides essential mathematical tools to address next university classes.
The main aim of the course is to provide students with the basic mathematical tools used in other topics studied in the Department of Economics and Business. Contents: - sets, sets of numbers, the concept of function. - Real functions of a real variable: limits, continuity, derivatives and differentials, the study of functions. Real functions of more variables: introduction. - Indefinite integral, definite integral, improper integrals. - Linear algebra: vectors, matrices, linear systems.
Topics are addressed starting from the basics for students from any secondary school . The approach is aimed at encouraging learning.
The class is taught through traditional lectures and exercises.
The class material is available on aulaweb.

CALCULUS FOR UNDERGRADUATED STUDENTS. C
The preparation of the student is assessed by a written examination which is scheduled on three different dates during the winter/summer session. Students can attend all the available dates, but they can ask for the correction of their work only on two of the three examination days.
In case of on-the-run tests, the overall mark is intended to replace the evaluation of the final test. The overall mark of the on-the-run tests must be registered within the first available date in the winter session.
