This integrated course of General Pathology, Physiopathology, Immunology and Parasithology aims to introduce and teach the student the basic principles of etiology and the pathogenic mechanisms of diseases in humans, both at a cellular and molecular level. In addition, this course covers the physiopathological mechanisms of the most important metabolic, circulatory, liver and blood related diseases.
To provide the knowledge of the etiopathogenesis of diseases, the fundamental physiopathological basis of the principle aspects of inflammation, immunology and immunopathology in reference to the clinical framework of the most important systems, in particular, the diagnostic conditions based on the modifications of clinical, immunological, cytological and parasitological parameters in diseases in which the laboratory diagnosis is an indispensable criteria.
In order to attend this course, students are required to have a good level of knowledge in the fields of human anatomy, histology, biochemistry and cellular biology.

The verification of the student's learning process will be based on the final oral exam which is aimed at testing the acquired knowledge by the student of the expected learning outcomes.
In order to pass exam, the student has to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the etiological basis and pathogenetic mechanisms of diseases in humans and the ability to analyze the main cellular aspects.
The following elements will contribute to the final mark:
