Module of Social Psychology : Psychology of Groups and Communities
In particular, the teaching aims are to provide students with basic notions of group psychology applied to different contexts and to focus on specific intervention techniques of community psychology. Individual study, attendance and participation in the proposed training activities will enable the student to:
acquire adequate theoretical knowledge, methodological and skills related to the application of different methods and group intervention techniques in different application contexts.
apply their knowledge and understanding and solving problems related to the use of methods and group techniques in various application contexts.
use, both conceptually and operative mode, the knowledge gained from self-evaluation skills and expertise in different application contexts.
acquire the typical discipline technical language to be able to communicate clearly and unambiguously with specialists and non-specialist interlocutors.
develop appropriate learning skills to allow them to independently investigate major issues, techniques and methods of discipline especially in the workplace in which they will operate.
Lectures, active methods, practical exercises and case studies
The course will show how the group present in the different contexts of everyday life can become a professional working tool for the figure of the social worker. The group will be proposed as a relational tool that acquires specificity and meanings within the community psychology approach.

PSYCOLOGY OF GROUPS AND COMMUNITIES A
For students attending the exam provides a written assessment of the materials and activities presented in class that normally consists of multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions. To take the test you must register during the lessons.
For non-attending students the exam includes a written assessment of the indicated texts which normally consists of multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions. To take the test, you must register online with the portal.
Through direct questions in order to investigate the knowledge of the techniques and methodologies of group and community psychology, and / or through the presentation and critical analysis of cases will be assessed learning outcomes. This formulation requires the student to be able to synthetically expose the concepts, extrapolating from their own knowledge the fundamental contents concerning the constructs object of verification (indicated in the program of the Course). The evaluation of the written test is based on criteria of relevance and completeness of the answers in relation to the investigated construct.
