At the end of the course, the student must be able to: - define the key constructs of the discipline; - link the learned constructs together; - identify the main reference theories of the discipline; - identify the main methods and intervention tools of the discipline; - to link theoretical knowledge to real contexts. TEACHING METHODS The course provides for a frontal lesson method, supplemented by exercises in small groups. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The Course explores the following topics: - main branches of Social Psychology; - construction of social knowledge; - social categorization; - stereotypes and prejudices; - social representations; - the Self concept; - social influence; - aggressive and altruistic behaviours; - group and intergroup relations; - organizations producing services. By agreement with the teacher, it is possible to take the oral exam. ASSESSMENT METHODS The test is structured through open questions that require the student to briefly present the fundamental concepts inherent to the course. The evaluation of the written test is based on criteria of relevance and completeness of the answers.
