Presentation
Hebrew is a fundamental discipline for future scholars, as it provides direct access to the Bible, the most studied book in history. The course aims at providing the tools to comprehend Hebrew thought from Antiquity down to the Modern Age through the study of the synchronic and diachronic development of Hebrew thinking and language. No particular preliminary knowledge is required.
Learning Outcomes
It is expected that at the end of the course, the student will be able to place the Hebrew language, culture, and religion within the context of European history

Assessment Methods
Oral exam.
The oral exam will include written tests to assess students' knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet and pronunciation.
