A course in Arabic Language III:
Language Classes: 50 hours (Term One) + 50 hours (Term Two).
Theoretical Module: 30 hours (Term Two).
This course aims at teaching the theoretical aspects of the morphosyntactic system of modern standard Arabic in order to develop reading and listening comprehension abilities.
The course provides the student with better communicative linguistic skills in comparison with the level achieved in the previous years of study. Special attention will be paid to the principles of translation theory.
The course aims at deepening and intensifying the knowledge of the morphosyntactic system of standard literary Arabic. It also offers the student the necessary competence to face text analysis, translation, comprehension and oral /written production of texts of different lengths.

Language Classes include improvement of the four communicative skills, grammar excersises and translation of texts (intermediate level).
Ricevimento: Dr Nasser receives students on Tuesdays from 11 to 13 in the Arabic Department.

The final exam consists of a written test and an oral exam. To be admitted to the oral exam, you must have achieved a grade of 18/30 or higher in the written test. The final grade will be the average between the grade of the written test and the grade of the oral exam.
The learning outcomes are verified and evaluated through a written and an oral exam. All contents covered in the teaching can be subject to evaluation. Through a series of questions, aimed at ascertaining their competences, the fnal exam verifies that the expected learning outcomes have actually been acquired by the students.
