The course deals French linguistics and corpus analysis
The course aims at giving students advanced knowledge and competences both in terms of tools for metalinguistic analysis and in-depth analysis of specific points, including different LSP. It is accompanied by practical language courses, held by native French teachers, at an advanced level.
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
use the main concepts in the field of pragmatics and French discourse analysis for critical reading and analysis of media discourse;
use methodological competence in discourse analysis to analyze media texts;
use competences in corpus linguistic analysis.
Students will have language competences in French of level B2.

exam aims at verifying the acquisition of theoretical knowledge about pragmatics and discourse analysis. The student will have to be able to identify and analyze pragmatics phenomena, using theoretical knowledge in an appropriate way.
Theoretical module: written exam (2 hours) aims at assessing he acquisition by the students of theoretical knowledge in the field of pragmatics and the ability to apply this knowledge.
The student will have to prove to be able to:
Practical exercises: oral exam (manipulation of oral text) and written exam (manipulation of written text) aiming at assessing the ability to understand texts, written and oral, to interact with other speakers, to reformulate, to express complex and nuanced personal opinions; all of this at level C1.
The inscription to Aulaweb is compulsory both for students who attend lessons and for those who cannot attend them. The inscription to the exams is compulsory and available up to 3 working days before the exam (if not otherwise specified).
