TEACHING METHODS The theory lectures (30 lessons, 2nd semester) will be accompanied during the whole academic year by practical language exercises (100 lessons, yearlong). The language classes begin on October 1, 2018; time schedules, programs, instructors and auditoriums will be published in Aulaweb and will be announced on the websites of the single instructors in September 2018. Lecture accompanied by language exercises SYLLABUS/CONTENT In the theory class students will familiarize with fundamental knowledge about syntax of the German language and parsing procedures. After a general survey about the most important aspects of the structure of the German sentence, knowledge about German morphology and methods of word formation will be improved. At the end of the class an introduction to linguistic semantics and lexicology / lexicography of the German language is scheduled, considering the linguistic terminology also in German language. The linguistic structures of the German language will be explained by examples of various textual typologies. The practical language exercises will bring the students from the A2 level to the B1 level according to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEF), taking into account the four essential abilities (listening, reading, speaking, writing), as well as the scheduled grammar knowledge. The program of the course is valid until February 2019 in accordance to the departmental regulation. The languages classes will be completed by written exams and an oral exam. During the written exam at the end of the theory class the students have to provide evidence of their profound knowledge of the arguments dealt with during the lessons, the designed texts and the materials published in Aulaweb.
