The course ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS is divided into two modules, namely POWER SYSTEMS MODELLING & CONTROL and POWER SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT.
In the first one, the main principles of power, frequency and voltage regulations are provided for traditional networks and microgrid, while the second one focuses its attention on the economic aspects of power systems.
Please look at this specific section on the following courses: POWER SYSTEMS MODELLING & CONTROL and POWER SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
the student is strongly recommended to have a good knowledge of the basics of electric circuit theory and electric machines
Ricevimento: The students can always meet the teacher outside the classroom in order to ask for some clarifications or integrations with respect to the concepts explained during the lessons, provided that they fix an appointment directly with the teacher (reference phone and e-mail are given to the students during the first lesson of the course).
