OVERVIEW

The focus of the course is to understand and improve principal and basical skills to manage and valorize a bibliographic collection in a library. From the classical theories to the present Library science, the course propose the most important application principles of library science and digital library. Bibliopraghy and Information science will complete the framework of the discipline.

Lectures, lessons in presence by Teams (code: 6gjuas6), Aulaweb. Moreover we'll visits to the most interesting and representatives libraries in Genoa.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course is divided in didactic module: History of libraries, Library science, Digital library, Cataloging, Bibliography, Library Management, Information Science.

9 CFU: the didactic module of Library science, Bibliography, Digital library and an other didactic module choosen by the student.

6 CFU: the didactic module of library science, bibliography, and an other didactic module choosen by the student.
