SWEDISH LANGUAGE III
The linguistics module (only for 9 CFU) is assessed through an oral exam. There are two sittings in each of the three exam sessions. The practical module is assessed through a written paper (one sitting in each of the three exam sessions) and an oral exam (two sittings in each session).
The written paper consists of a listening comprehension, a reading comprehension and a composition.
The oral exam on the theoretical module consists of the the commentary on the texts translated and analysed during the lessons. Students must be able to translate a selection of texts into Italian and to motivate their translation strategies.
The oral exam on the practical module consists of a conversation in Swedish.
Swedish Language III is divided into two parts: a one-semester linguistics module ("modulo teorico"), which is held in the second semester, and a two-semester practical module ("modulo pratico" or "esercitazioni" or "lettorato").
Each component ("modulo pratico" and "modulo teorico") is assessed separately. The practical module is assessed at the end of the second semester through a written exam paper (writing, listening and reading comprehension) and an oral exam (conversation). The linguistics module is assessed through an oral exam at the end of the first semester. Students are required to translate and analyse different types of texts.
The final mark is calculated as follows: 33% (of the overall mark) is the written practical part; 33% (of the overall mark) is the oral practical part; 33% (of the overall mark) is the linguistics part.
