The course provides students with operational tools for the design and operation of service systems of industrial processes, in accordance with the Community rules in force. Particular emphasis is placed on safety concepts for evolving systems group 1 fluids (dangerous fluids) and group 2 (fluids under pressure) and related risk analysis.
Theoretical lectures with exercises.
Community law 97/23/CE-PED and its engineering implications. Evolving systems group 1 fluids: liquid fuels (specifications, sizing tanks, distributing lines, regulations and safety features, utilities); gaseous fuels (technical characteristics manufactured gases and natural. Distribution and storage equipment sizing for LPG, pressure reduction groups for natural gas (1st and 2nd stage), dimensioning, adjustment, safety lines, utilities). Evolving systems group 2 fluids: industrial service cooling water (heat-exchangers in mixture air-water) and pressure (autoclave tanks). Steam: sizing service distribution networks superheated and saturated steam. Condensation manifold networks, expansion joints, thermal stress. Risk analysis for types of industrial installations. Development of technical regulations of the contracts.
