AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The course focuses on historical, economic, political and social conditions, that affect the relation between social inequalities and welfare state. The course will be organized in two specific areas. 1 The analysis of the main changes that characterize the contemporary societies. In particular the changes linked to: the demographics transformations, the job transformations, and the family and cohabitation transformations. 2. The analysis of the concepts and dynamics that define the architecture of the modern welfare state, in particular by developing the specificity and criticality of the Italian case.
