The goal of the Health Psychology is to look away from diagnosis and therapy in order to focalize attention on dynamics of development of the person in environment. Focal point are therefore the resources through which to promote the personal and social well-being.
The Course explores the concept of health, analyzing its evolution at a theoretical level and providing a key to critically interpret the psychological and social processes involved in its construction. The theme is deepened by exploring lines of action, contexts and intervention methods specific to Health Psychology. The course is supplemented by a laboratory proposal based on the themes of prevention and health promotion in educational, health and community contexts.
