The course has as main objectives: acquiring knowledge of the causes, epidemiological trend and prevention of infectious and degenerative diseases and their health, social and economic impacts. During the course the elements to understand the Italian health organization with particular emphasis to the health promotion, education for the health of populations, preventive strategies are given.
At the end of the course the student will have acquired the knowledge necessary for the prevention of degenerative and infectious diseases and for the health promotion.
At the end of the course students must know the main knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention.

Due to the health emergency (COVID-19) the lessons will take place remotely in streaming mode. The lessons will be recorded and published.

Prevention Concepts: primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. Epidemiology and prophylaxis of infectious diseases. National Prevention Plain. and National Immunization Plain. Epidemiology and prevention of degenerative diseases, in particular cardiovascular diseases and cancers. Hygiene school. Hygiene confined environment. First aid tips.

The lessons will take place in the first semester. Lessons start: September 21, 2020.
Obligatory written examination consisting of 30 “closed-answer” questions with only one correct answer (one point for each correct aswer) and of one “open” question. In the open question will be evaluated: the level of knowledge, the degree of detail and the use of appropriate language. Oral examination on request by the student, in order to improve the score obtained in the written examination.
In the event of a health emergency extension of the exams will take place with online mode.
The written format has been adopted in order to ensure that the knowledge acquired during the entire course is assessed in an objective manner. This modality is deemed to be able to correctly evaluate the achievement of both the general and specific training objectives.
