At the end of the lessons the student will know:

2) physiological mechanism of childbirth
3) the main obstetrical complications
4) contraception
5) the main gynecological pathologies, including gynecological cancer

Define a monitoring plan for low-risk pregnancy
Acquire notions of prenatal Diagnostics
Framing and evaluating conditions of risk in pregnancy
Know the main pathologies of the first trimester: abortion and ectopic pregnancy
Management of emergencies in the third stage of labour: placenta previa, abruptio placenta, postpartum hemorrhage.
Human reproduction, contraception, and sexually transmitted diseases
Menstrual disorders and dysmenorrhea, postmenopausal bleeding
Prevention, screening, and early detection of gynecological cancers, including breast cancer
Knowing how to instrument a pap smear
Major gynecological benign diseases: fibroids, ovarian cysts, prolapse.
Basics of major gynecological surgical procedures.
