The course aims at providing students with the bases of cardiovascular diseases on ocular pathology. At the end of the course, the student will be able to arrive through a pathophysiological path to understand the origin of ocular changes as an integral part of systemic disease.
The course provides lectures for a total of 10 hours.
Internal Medicine 2: ocular complications in diseases of medical interest, with particular interest in cardiovascular diseases:
- Diabetes mellitus and retinopathy,
- Arterial hypertension and retinopathy,
- Atherosclerosis and retinopathy,
- Sickle cell anemia and retinopathy,
- Atrial fibrillation and retinal vascular occlusion.
