The course is focused on the analysis of ship structures in terms of stresses generated by local actions
Aim of the course is to provide criteria for strength verification of the ship's structural elements. The student will be provided with means for selecting the scantlings of the elements, both with direct approximate computations and using Rule requirements. Concepts and procedures are provided to quantify the main actions loading the ship structure, to define the local structural strengthand for limit state verifications adopted in design practice
