To provide an in-depth knowledge of the main industrial processes, with particular reference to environmental and sustainability issues related to these processes and their products
In particular, the objective is, starting from the detailed analysis of the industrial chemical processes currently used for the production of fuels, fuels, materials, and chemical products for industrial and household use, to provide the student with the necessary knowledge to be able to evaluate the environmental effects of these processes and products and the presence on the territory of the production plants.
Overall, the student will acquire the ability to evaluate, in practical terms and on the basis of the composition of the raw materials, as well as the thermodynamic, kinetic, economic and environmental aspects, the reasons for the technical choices of the existing processes and to evaluate, similarly , innovative processes and technologies with less environmental impact.

Oral exam, in English. The exam will consist of three questions on three topics covered during the course. In one of these aspects of the characteristics of the products will be analyzed in one of the characteristics of processes, in a third aspect of an environmental and chemical nature.
Through the critical discussion of the characteristics of products used at industrial level and the processes necessary to produce them, it will be possible to evaluate the student's knowledge and depth of understanding of the chemical, energy, economic and environmental aspects of chemical technologies associated with the development of chemical and energy technologies.
