The clinical engineer is a professional who participates in health care by ensuring the safe, appropriate and economical use of technologies in health services (AIIC).
The "Law 11 January 2018, n.3" which recognizes Clinical Engineering as a healthcare profession has taken note of a reality that has been consolidated in the last 2 decades and which has seen almost all Healthcare Facilities equip themselves with a Clinical Engineering Service.
The " Fondamenti di Ingegneria Clinica " course introduces students to this discipline by providing the theoretical rudiments but above all through the presentation of practical cases brought by a professional in the sector.
In the first part of the course some equipment and computer systems in the field of Diagnostic Imaging are presented, which become raw material for the explanations and real examples that are presented in all the other lessons of the course, aimed at illustrating the technical and managerial aspects of the "job" of the clinical engineer
The course provides the basic knowledge related to clinical engineering aspects by bringing examples of management of technological assets in the health sector. The essential operational tools for the acquisition, management and maintenance of biomedical technologies will be provided
