Geotechnics is a central subject of Civil and Environmental Engineering that has as its objective the modeling of soil behavior and the design of the works interacting with it, as well as the study of natural phenomena and environmental risks that directly involve the subsoil. The mechanical behavior is mainly treated in Module 1; Module 2 is dedicated to typical applications such as steady state and transient filtration phenomena, shallow and deep foundations, gravity retaining walls.
