This course aims to provide students with the fundamentals of sailing boat design by covering various multidisciplinary topics.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to acquire the basic skills necessary for the design of sailing ships with the study of specifically inherent multidisciplinary topics .

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

With this course, students will gain a deep understanding of the following topics: 
- the physical phenomena governing the motion of a sailing boat;
- experimentation and data acquisition methods (systematic series, wind tunnels, on-board measurements, etc.);
- design methods and performance prediction.
