The course provides an overview of the main methods for planning logistic netwoorks and transportation systems.
At the end of the course the student will be able: - to know the main decision problems related to the planning and management of logistic and transportation systems - to know the methodologies for the planning and management of logistic and transportation systems - use some software tools for modelling, analysing and planning logistic and transportation systems
to state and formalize decision problems associated with transportation and logistic systems
to identify the most appropriate methodology for optimization and analysis of transportation and logistic systems
The prerequisites are related to the courses of Operations Research and Systems Theory

The exam is given by the evaluation of a project work developed by the student and an oral exam with open-ended questions on the topics addressed in the course
During the exam the professor will evaluate the capabilities of the student in adopting suitable methods for the analysis and planning of transportation and logistic systems
