Italian linguistics is the scientific study of the Italian language (mainly, but not only, contemporary), its dialects and the languages of ethnolinguistic minorities.
Italian linguistics deals with the structures of language, uses and functions of the language, with reference to the model of geographical, social, situational and communicative varieties.

- learning of the architecture of the varieties of contemporary Italian - learning of the distinctive traits of each Italian variety - development of the ability to analyze written and oral productions in Italian in a variational perspective
