The module aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the mechanisms of national and regional economic systems. The training will be integrated with other modules in the students’ curriculum, providing the basic skills required to critically evaluate information on macroeconomic facts at a local and global level.
The module aims at transferring key knowldge in order to allow students to better understand main macro and micro economic variables (e.g. inflation, unemployment) and their effect in current economics.

Both written and oral exam
Written examination will be dedicated to assess key knowledge while the oral assessment will be focused on the critical discussion of key economics concepts.
