The course focuses on the design of suitable countermeasures aimed at limiting/preventing risk. During the course, the topics indicated in the syllabus will be covered.In-depth studies will also be carried out through possible seminars by external speakers and possible technical visits. TEACHING METHODS The course consists of theoretical and application lessons. SYLLABUS/CONTENT GENERAL INTRODUCTION. STABILIZATION OF NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL SLOPES: GEOTECHNICAL AND SOIL BIO-ENGINEERING TECHNIQUES; DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF LANDSLIDE COUNTERMEASURES. REINFORCED EARTH BY GEOSYNTHETICS AND STEEL ELEMENTS: DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF VARIOUS INTERVENTIONS. SOIL NAILING. LIQUEFACTION OF THE SOIL AND PERTINENT INTERVENTIONS.
