• Stages of labour
• Engagement, progression and expulsion of fetus and placenta
• Physiological postpartum
• Waterbirth               
• Episiotomy and its suture, suture of perineal lacerations

Lectures with projections of audiovisual material

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Define a monitoring/management plan for low-risk labor and delivery.

Define a monitoring /management plan of third stage of Labor.

Detection of alterations from physiology during labor and delivery.

Define indications, contraindications, benefits and limits of the use of water in labor.

Episiotomy and perineal lacerations’ suture technique.
