-Geriatric and Gerontology

-Rehabilitation in Geriatric and Internal Medicine

-Internal Medicine and First Aids

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To know the principles of geriatrics / gerontology, the repercussions on the rehabilitation activities of old age clinical situation, with reference to multiple pathologies, interactions between diseases of different organs, relationship difficulties of the elderly for social reasons and lower efficiency of the sense organs. To know the health emergencies of the elderly, acquire the ability to manage them and to know the main frameworks of rehabilitation interest to carry out rehabilitation interventions with particular attention to senile dementias, Alzheimer's.

PREREQUISITES

Basic knowledge acquired with the frequency of the lessons of the courses included in the study plan.
The study plan is structured so as to allow a gradual acquisition of knowledge and skills in the main subjects under study.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Trough oral examination and multiple choice questions to evaluate the capacity to apply the acquired knowledge.

To pass the exam the student has to reach a vote of at least 18/30
