Spanish 1 consists of Spanish language lessons, with practice of the four language skills (called Lettorato), taught in Semester 1 and 2 by Prof. Morena Carla Lanieri, and a Modulo Teorico (Hispanic Linguistics Module), taught in Semester 2 by Prof. Laura Sanfelici. The Hispanic Linguistic Module is equivalent to LINGUISTICA SPAGNOLA 55962
The aim of the course is to provide the theoretical and methodological foundation for the use of the audio-visual support in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. The course will be taught in Spanish.

SPANISH LANGUAGE I
Linguistic Module
Students attending 70% of the hours specified in the curriculum will be evaluated during the course, through the development of lecture materials, teachers guides, with a commentary based on the recommended bibliography.
Non attending students will take the exam in the official exam dates. The exam is the same for attenders and non attenders students.
Practical module:
A written and oral test for Lettorato.
Examination enrolment is througn the Ateneo website.
Linguistics Module
Grading will take into account familiarity with the contents of the bibliographical references and the ability to apply them in terms of critical reflection.
Correction and adequacy of academic writing in Spanish will also be taken into account.
The Lettorato part will consist of both an oral and a written test. The written test will include the production of an argumentative text (a letter to the Editor), a short commentary of a literary text and exercises aimed at testing lexical and grammar skills. The oral test will be a conversation on current affairs topics.
Attendance is not obligatory BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
