OVERVIEW

The Electrical and Electronic Measurement Course proposes the study of the basics of electrical and electronic measurements, starting from the knowledge of the fundamental and derived units of measurement, from the measurement of uncertainty in the measure through the error statistic. It therefore envisages the study of basic electrical measurements, the study of information in Analogue and Digital signals, the main Analogue / Digital and Digital / Analogue conversion systems.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Acquire the foundations of the science of electrical and electronic measurements, with particular reference to error theory, instrumentation and the main measurement methods. Acquire knowledge in the fields of electrotechnics, electronics and related devices.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the course is to provide students with the fundamentals of the science of electrical engineering from the Ohm's law to the circuits resolution by Kirchoff and the basics on electrical and electronic measurements (general concepts of measurements, measurement error theory, instrumentation operating principles and the main measurement methods). Background knowledge is required in the fields of electrotechnics, electromagnetism and electronics and their related devices.

TEACHING METHODS

Teaching involves the acquisition of 1 CFU (25 hours) through a series of classes (10 hours) and 15 hours of individual study. Classes (from Italian "frontal lessons") will be held by Prof. Mariscotti.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Examination is of the written type.

It deals with the topics discussed during classes and consists of a test with 10 open-answer questions (3 points for each correct answer). Examples of questions will be provided during the last lectures and in the slides on the Aulaweb portal. The exam lasts approximately 2 hours.

The grades will be held valid until the next exam date of the same academic year.

In addition to those programmed in C.I. two additional exams for the winter session (mid January-February) and additional 3 in summer (June, July and September) appeals will be available for the Electrical and Electronic Measurements module. Additional dates will not be scheduled outside the periods set out in the scheme above, except for exceptional cases previously evaluated by the C.I.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Details on how to prepare for the exam and the degree to which each subject is discussed will be given during the lessons.

The examination will verify the actual acquisition by the student of the basic knowledge on electrical and electronic measurements in the healthcare field. The student should be able to connect and integrate the knowledge learned during the internship activities with those provided during the front lessons. Problems and open questions will allow you to evaluate the ability to use the acquired knowledge in practical situations that may occur.
