Course description
Urban Logistics.
The course aims to enable students to analyze issues to understand the origins of urban transport failure, possible strategies and policy lines.
The course studies the mobility of people and goods in cities, and more generally in urban areas, and the role this mobility plays in the city itself. The course highlights the contribution of urban logistics to the quality and economic efficiency of city life, both in terms of production (the most significant and economically valuable production processes are situated in urban areas) and consumption (mobility is a major driver for the use of urbanization economies for businesses and individuals).
Knowledge and Understanding. Students should have knowledge and effective ability to understand phenomena related to urban logistics.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding. Students should be able to apply knowledge to understand urban context and its economic functioning.
Autonomy. Students must develop autonomous evaluation skills and critical sense in relation to urban mobility (people and urban freight logistics).
Learning skills. Students must develop adequate learning skills to independently explore the subjects of the discipline.
