The present integrated course in composed of two modules: mod. 1 cod. 60902 Strategic Management and Decision Making and mod. 2 cod. 109154 Corporate Governance and Development Models.
The integrated course is aimed at deepening, in module 1, the strategic management of the enterprise, the corporate straegic decisions and the survival strategies, together with the central issues of strategy formulation and evaluation. In module 2, the governance of the enterprise is explored, declined into who has the power to make such decisions, based on what assumptions, and how power is exercised in different institutional contexts. Particular focus is given in Module 2 to the relationships between governance models and business financing models.
The learning objectives, learning outcomes, syllabi, teaching methods, textbooks, exam description and assessment methods can be viewed within the individual modules.
As an advanced course of strategic management and governance, the two modules present basic notions of business economics and management as prerequisites.
Specifically:
- strategic analysis of the external environment
- strategic analysis of the internal environment and value chain
- strategies for competitive advantage
- some basic knowledge of corporate finance
