The course "Constitutional System and Fundamental Rights" provides the basic notions relating to the constitutional structure of the Italian State: from the distinctive elements to the fundamental principles; from legal sources to constitutional bodies; up to the subjective situations protected by the Constitution. At the same time, particular attention is paid to the so-called Economic constitution and the similar provisions of the EDU Convention and the "Nizza Charter"
Institutional study of the fundamental organization of the Italian legal system, of its functioning and its relations with the European Union legal system with particular attention to its development, prospects for reform, the system of sources, dynamics between powers, justice constitutional, as well as the rights and duties of individuals and social formations.
The aim of the course is mainly to provide an internal and supranational framework intended to facilitate and better understand the legal insights present in the rest of the course of study.
Adequate knowledge of Italian history at least starting from the eighteenth-century revolutions.
Adequate knowledge of the current problems of Italian society from the socio-economic point of view
Ability to orient oneself among the various information sources (from traditional media to the Internet)
Good comprehension, reading and oral explanation of the written text.
Inclination to critical reasoning and dialectical confrontation.

The oral exam aims to verify the actual knowledge and acquisition by the student of the notions learned and their ability to develop them in a critical and reasoned way, as well as to identify and apply the reference standards to specific concrete cases.
