Integrated teaching is divided into Elements of Toxicology, General Pharmacology, Veterinary parasitology, General Pathology, Veterinary Pathology and Pathophysiology.
Elements of Toxicology analyzes the toxicity mechanisms of agents for pest control, heavy metals, gas smokes, vapors and solvents studies the most suitable pharmacological strategies to limit the damage produced.
General Pharmacology focuses on the basic concepts of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
Veterinary Parassitology studies the biotic relationships that exist between different animal species (mutualistic symbiosis, commensalism and parasitism).
General Pathology studies the intrinsic and extrinsic causes of human diseases, the body's defense response to damage agents and tumors.
Veterinary Pathology and Pathophysiology studies the causes of diseases in animals and changes in the functioning of the systems during the disease.
Acquire knowledge on the origin and pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative and neoplastic processes responsible for human pathologies. Know the most common infectious diseases in humans, the methods of transmission and prevention. Know the toxic effects of drugs (classification and types of toxicity). Know the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative and neoplastic processes responsible for diseases in animals.

The exam consists of an oral test and takes place, when possible, in the presence of all teachers of Elements of Toxicology, General Pharmacology, General Pathology, Veterinary Pathology and Pathophysiology. There will be 2 sessions for the winter session and 5 sessions for the summer/autumn session. The Veterinary Parasitology exam consists of a written test, composed of three open-ended questions.
Both the written and oral exam will allow to verify the achievement of the expected learning outcomes by evaluating the correct understanding of the contents of the various programs and the ability to develop the skills acquired in relation to the topics covered in the programs.
At the end of all the tests, the teachers formulate a final grade which derives from the weighted average of the partial grades and the overall assessment of the candidate.
