OVERVIEW

The workshop focuses on effective corporate English writing and the strategic use of AI, with a specific emphasis on awareness of AI cognitive biases. It aims to assist students in drafting effective reports and proposals. Students will enhance their skills by studying business and statistical vocabulary for trend description and through hands-on AI-integrated exercises. Furthermore, they will develop critical thinking skills by presenting and discussing articles or texts related to communication, leadership, soft skills, and AI.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The workshop focuses on effective writing in English in the corporate context. It will help students learn how to write a business letter, a business report or proposal and a text or article review effectively. Students will improve their business vocabulary and use of grammar by studying and writing these types of documents during the lessons. They will also develop their skills in critical reading by presenting and commenting on articles about communication, leadership and soft skills

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to provide fundamental English writing skills and to bring students' proficiency to the Upper-Intermediate (B2) level of the CEFR. Specifically, it will focus on business and statistical language for describing trends, alongside the conscious and informed use of AI

TEACHING METHODS

The course will combine roundtable discussions, practical group exercises, and debriefing sessions

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course will focus on business reports and the description of statistical trends, with particular attention to structure, style (formal vs. informal), grammar, vocabulary, and content. It will also emphasize the strategic use of AI. Through group presentations on topics such as communication, leadership, and AI, students will advance their language proficiency to an upper-intermediate level while honing their analytical and effective writing skills. Additionally, the course is designed to enhance their teamwork and collaboration abilities and their skills to use AI critically.
