CODE 101662 ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026 CREDITS 12 cfu anno 2 DESIGN NAVALE E NAUTICO 9008 (LM-12) - LA SPEZIA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR ICAR/13 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION LA SPEZIA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: MODULE OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN 3-1 MODULE OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN 3-2 TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The integrated teaching consists of the modules: Industrial Design 3-1 and Industrial Design 3-2. The objectives of the two modules contribute to the final teaching objectives with the aim of tackling a complex design theme characterised by collaboration between nautical design and nautical engineers, simulating the professional world’s work teams. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The Studio Workshop is made up of the modules: Industrial Design 3-1 and Industrial Design 3-2. PREREQUISITES Students must have the basic know-how of the main types of hulls and propulsions, construction technologies, ergonomic elements and the knowledge on how to plan the on-board environments: optimizing connection flows between open and closed spaces, between public and private spaces, between day and night spaces, between passenger and crew spaces. In terms of control and illustration of the project, they must know the use of hand and digital drawing tools. Working in a group, they learn how to understand and optimize their contribution by working in team. Finally, through a series of public presentations, they learn how to illustrate the results achieved. The final exam is based on the design studio work presentation to the jury of both the teachers. The judgement will be based on the proceeding of the design work, the finalized technical drawings and the graphic panels together with the multimedia work, including any students’ dissertation.
