EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The final grade is the arithmetic mean (rounded up) of the exams from the three modules. The exam for "Mathematics Communication" can be taken independently of the other two modules.

For the exam procedures of each module, please refer to the respective course pages.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (DSA) are reminded that, in order to request accommodations for exams, they must first upload their certification to the university website at servizionline.unige.it in the “Studenti” (Students) section. The documentation will be verified by the University’s Inclusion Services for Students with Disabilities and DSA.

Afterwards, and well in advance (at least 7 days) before the exam date, an email must be sent to the instructor responsible for the exam. The email must also be copied to both the School Inclusion Contact Person for Students with Disabilities and DSA (sergio.didomizio@unige.it) and the aforementioned Inclusion Services Office. The email must include:

• The course title
• The date of the exam
• The student’s last name, first name, and student ID number
• The compensatory tools and dispensatory measures requested and deemed appropriate

The Inclusion Contact Person will confirm to the instructor that the student is entitled to request exam accommodations and that such accommodations must be agreed upon with the instructor. The instructor will respond confirming whether the requested accommodations can be granted.

Requests must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the exam date to allow the instructor sufficient time to evaluate the request. Specifically, if the use of concept maps is requested (which must be significantly more concise than study maps), failure to meet the deadline may not allow for technical adjustments to be made in time.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

For details on the assessment methods of each individual module, please refer to the respective course description.
