OVERVIEW

The course provides students with the basic elements needed to understand the application of computer science to healthcare management.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The purpose of the Course is to provide the theoretical, methodological and regulatory foundations for the application of computer science to healthcare management, also through practical cases.

The Course aims to train professionals capable of managing information technologies in the national health system.

TEACHING METHODS

The course is structured into lectures, with the aid of slides and discussions on in-depth topics.

Students with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) or with special needs must contact the Teacher(s) and the dedicated SLD Representative at the Department before the start of lessons, in order to agree on specific teaching methods and ensure the correct achievement of learning objectives and results.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The written test consists of multiple choice and open-ended questions, relating to the topics covered in class.

During the exam, the rules regarding the evaluation method of students certified as DSA or with other educational needs indicated by the university will be respected (e.g. additional time in the case of written exams, use of concept maps to be viewed for approval by the teachers at least one week before the exam date).

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Registration for exams via the Unige portal.

The basic elements of the subject must be known in order for the exam to be considered sufficient.

If the minimum course objectives are not achieved, the student will not pass the exam.
