Students will analyze maternal body changes during pregnancy, childbirth an postpartum; and will study women modifications after menarche and menopause , in order to face dietetic, nutritional, dietetic, educaltional, chinical and psychological needs in all females life stages
Gain knowledge in identifying and managing the need of dietetic /nutritional assistance upon educative, preventive, clinic and rehabilitation aspects in the developing age.
The student will be able to
face with the body metabolic modifications during the first pregnancy weeks
know the placental circulatory modifications that allow fetal growing
The sudent will be able to
-understand the specific nutritional needs during pregnancy and childbirth
-support women in managing scheduled nutritional choose
The class will be run in frontal lessons (usually three) for a total amount of 10 hours(1 CFU)
Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
