The course provides students with the foundational knowledge necessary to understand how organizations—particularly healthcare companies—operate. It focuses on methodologies for analyzing organizational and managerial processes within the National Health Service (SSN).
To understand and apply methodologies for the development and analysis of organizational and managerial processes in healthcare, based on principles of efficiency and effectiveness.
The course aims to:
Provide students with foundational knowledge of methodologies and analysis of organizational and managerial processes in the healthcare sector;
Offer criteria and tools for evaluating the activities of organizations operating within the National Health Service.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and analytically describe how a healthcare organization functions, using the acquired methodologies for analyzing organizational and managerial processes.
Key competences for lifelong learning will focus on the ability to explain the healthcare system using a set of knowledge and methodologies, including observation and experimentation, to identify problems and draw evidence-based conclusions.
The course includes lectures supported by slides available on Aulaweb and discussions on in-depth topics.
Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), disabilities, or other educational needs are encouraged to contact the instructor and the School/Department disability coordinator at the beginning of the course to agree on any necessary teaching adjustments that respect the learning objectives while considering individual learning styles.
