At the end of the course, students acquire scientific and educational knowledge in the field of internal diseases for motor activities; in particular, in the field of internal medicine and respiratory diseases, with specific reference to the motor treatment clinic.
The teaching module A.F.A. aims to prepare students from a theoretical and methodological point of view to a correct motor approach in the wide range of internal diseases, through:
- motor correlation analysis of the main diseases,
- the effectiveness of motor response on the diseases themselves,
- the recovery of best physical performance by appropriate motor pathways of each category of patients.
Lectures with power points and lessons in the multimedia classroom to deepen the concept of methodological recerca in the field of motor science.
Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.
The course content will give students in-depth knowledge: on the modifications and functional adaptations resulting from physical exercise; on the methods of assessment of the state of physical efficiency and exercise programming (both for healthy subjects and for individuals with disabilities or functional limitations); on educational, communicative and psychomotor methodologies and techniques.
Students must know the benefits and risks of the practice of motor activities in relation to the different types of subjects; as well as learning about the possible pharmacological correlations most frequently used for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes in diseases causing disability, in order to know the effects of these on exercise test responses; procedures for coping with cardio-respiratory emergency situations, which may arise in connection with an exercise test.
