Rehabilitation of the main neurological diseases, with particular reference to the treatment of clinical conditions producing disorders of motor function.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student must know the general aspects of the physiatric care of the main neurological diseases in the elderly.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures with slides.

Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), disabilities, or other educational needs are invited to contact the instructor and the School/Department disability coordinator at the beginning of the course to agree on any teaching methods that, while respecting the course objectives, take individual learning styles into account.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Rehabilitation of the patient with stroke.

Rehabilitation of the patient with aphasia and unilateral neglect.

No invasive brain stimulation techniques (NIBS) and their application in rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation of the patient suffering from neuropathy.

Upper and lower motor neuron syndrome
