The traineeship is an individual learning experience designed to apply and enhance the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. It may take place within a company, a public body, a research institution, or within the university itself, under the supervision of an internal academic tutor and, when applicable, an external company tutor.
The activity must be consistent with the educational objectives of the degree program and approved by the Master Course.
The traineeship aims to:
Develop and strengthen practical, technical, and professional skills;
Provide direct experience in solving engineering problems in real-world contexts;
Enhance students' autonomy, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
At the end of the traineeship, the student will be able to:
Apply theoretical knowledge to practical, professional tasks;
Operate in multidisciplinary and collaborative environments;
Demonstrate increased professional awareness and readiness for the job market or further research.
No particular prerequisites are required; however, it is strongly recommended that students have completed all required coursework and passed the associated exams foreseen in the study plan, before starting the internship.
125 hours of supervised work experience at a company, public institution, research centre, or university laboratory.
The internship activities may include (but are not limited to):
The internship must be formalized through a training agreement between the university and the host organization.
Eventually, suggested by the internal academic supervisor and/or external tutor, depending on the internship content.
