OVERVIEW

The Integrated Course covers the scientific foundations of three disciplines — Sociology, Psychology, and Pedagogy — in relation to human health. The three subjects that make it up aim to help develop an independent ability to think critically and problem-solve, in order to recognize, understand, interpret, and tackle sociological, psychological, and educational issues that may arise in sports settings. Specifically, the Course aims to provide students with the theoretical skills needed: a) to work as a physical education and sports coach; b) to promote people’s physical and mental well-being; c) to design physical activities with an educational, playful, and sports focus, making them more effective for recreation, socialization, and prevention purposes.
