During the course will be presented the main approaches to the study of the groups according to the two theoretical orientations of social psychology and dynamic psychology. Following these approaches will be analyzed methods and intervention techniques applicable in different social organizations. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims to understand and to acquire the theories, methods, and the values of group psychology. The course aims to recognize the processes and aspects that characterize the group dynamics and provide skills for the reading and the group management. Another objective will be to analyze the group as a working tool and present the different application contexts and intervention methodologies. TEACHING METHODS Lectures, active methods, practical exercises and case studies SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course will show how the group present in the different contexts of everyday life can become a professional working tool for the figure of the psychologist. The group will be proposed as a relational tool that acquires specificity (educational, therapeutic, intervention, research) and meanings in various application contexts. Through this procedure, theoretical and methodological knowledge acquired by the student will be assessed. Lectures attending students will be assessed during the course. To take the exam is essential to enroll through the website. ASSESSMENT METHODS Through direct questions in order to investigate the knowledge of the techniques and methodologies of group psychology, and / or through the presentation and critical analysis of cases will be assessed learning outcomes. Students will have to acquire adequate theoretical knowledge, methodological and skills related to the application of different methods and group intervention techniques in different application contexts. Students will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding and solving problems related to the use of methods and group techniques in various application contexts. Students will have to use, both conceptually and operative mode, the knowledge gained from self-evaluation skills and expertise in different application contexts. Students will have to acquire the typical discipline technical language to be able to communicate clearly and unambiguously with specialists and non-specialist interlocutors. Students will have to develop appropriate learning skills to allow them to independently investigate major issues, techniques and methods of discipline especially in the workplace in which they will operate.
