In-depth knowledge about the main molecular and cellular mechanisms of the immune response (natural and adaptative) against pathogens and tumors. Knowledge about hypersensitivity reactions and related conditions. Knowledge about different aspects of basic Microbiology to enable the graduate in Biotecnology to explore or expand any field connected to this topic

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Written and oral

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam consists of a written part (Microbiology) and an oral part (General Pathology and Immunology). The exam is always led by the owners of the course. Only in exceptional cases, the teacher may be replaced by another teacher role with experience. These modes enable the Commission to verify, with high accuracy, achieving the educational objectives of teaching. When these are not met, the student is invited to deepen the study and to use further clarification by the lecturer.
