AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The educational objective of the course is to provide the student with the fundamental elements on the meaning of some classes of disease markers measurable in the clinical analysis laboratory, with laboratory and clinical correlations

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Provide the student with the knowledge necessary for the meaning of some classes of disease markers (in particular markers of inflammation, cell damage, neoplasm, kidney and liver function and endocrine and metabolic functions) measurable in the laboratory of clinical analyses.
The student must acquire the ability to describe the meaning of the test, remember the reference levels, understand the meaning of values above or below the reference values, know the situations in which a specific test is indicated.

PREREQUISITES

Basic knowledge of biology, histology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, general pathology and pathophysiology are prerequisites of the course.

TEACHING METHODS

The lessons are held frontally and interactions with students will be sought as much as possible. In consideration of the health situation in our country, the lessons can be delivered online, possibly via live streaming.
